Regina Llopis Rivas is Grupo AIA’s founding member, President & CEO.

Regina holds a Degree in Mathematics from the University of Maryland with High Honors. Master of Science and PhD in Mathematics Applied to Artificial Intelligence from University of California Berkeley. Also holds Diploma in Senior Management PADE Program IESE Business School, Barcelona. Academic Positions in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Universidad Simón Bolívar, Caracas. Visiting professor at the Mathematics Department of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, at the IBM Research Center, IBM-UAM, Madrid and short stage visit at the Universidad Católica of Chile. Responsibilities on multinational Global Teams on Software Engineering for Industrial Control Projects and  others.

Partner and Director General of the University of Barcelona Science Park (1998 -1999).

Member of the Boards of holding companies which she has designed and created such as the subsidiaries: EleQuant, EleQuant Inc. (US) since 2001, Gridquant Inc. (US) since 2012, MAIA (México) since 2004, AIA and participated R & R Music Limited.

She has created and maintained permanent commercial relationships with some of the top leaders of targeted sectors Financial, Energy, Telecom in Spain. Initiates exports the energy line with Pacific Gas and Electric Company in San Francisco California with about 20 million customers, Federal Electricity Commission, the owner and operator of the national grid in Mexico, one of the largest in the world that provides electricity to a population of 100 million. Regina is leading his team expansion in the global market.

Antoni Trias Bonet is a founding member of Grupo AIA, Vice President of R & D and CTO.

Antoni Ph.D. in Physics in 1974 from the University of Barcelona. 1974-1976 Postdoctoral the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory of the University of California. Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Universidad Simon Bolivar, Caracas until 1985. Visiting Professor: State University of New York at Stony Brook (invited by Nobel Laureate Professor CN Yang), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and the Institute of Physics of Montevideo (Uruguay).

Professor at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 1986. Author of over 50 research papers, has led many master’s and doctoral theses among which are:

Under his leadership during the 25 years in innovation AIA has developed a series of algorithms suitable for solving a wide variety of highly complex industrial problems. The key to this success has been its ability to combine mathematical modeling techniques and theoretical physics optimization algorithms and artificial intelligence techniques, and applying them effectively in the industrial world.

Marta Cuesta Anglès is the Chief Financial Officer of AIA Group.

Marta has a degree in Economics from the Univesidad Autonoma de Barcelona (1996) and an MBA from the Center for Financial Studies (1999). Marta joined AIA in 2005 as Group Financial Controller. During these years, Grupo AIA has grown and created new businesses in Spain and the U.S. Marta is the Financial Director of the Group since 2010.

She began her career as an accountant in various small companies, then she  was in charge of Accounts Department on a medium sized company that develops software for Public Administration. Before moving to Grupo AIA she served as Controller Tasks of Marmedsa Group , transport and logistics sector.
