The Guidelines information and integration to Clinical histories enable to give recommendation on drugs administration, and to help doctors in disease diagnose based on symptoms and patient´s clinical history information.

Moreover, these computerized guidelines allow sanitary practitioners to detect early symptoms of a disease and  propose treatment according to each patient´s state.

SUCCESS CASE

Grupo AIA applied a methodology for Institut Català de la Salut, to computerize the Clinical Practice Guidelines in a simple, practical and efficient way.

This methodology is based on expert systems (computerized system which emulates the expert´s decision-making capacity), along with a consulting process that allows to capture medical knowledge from a group of experts and implement it in an integrated information system in the clinical history.

As the computerized Clinical Practice Guidelines are designed to be integrated into the Healthcare process, Grupo AIA has taken into consideration the following:

  • Recommendations must be validated by a primary healthcare doctor.
  • Must be used during medical consultation.
  • Integration into the Clinical History.
  • Doctor´s optional use.

We have developed Clinical Practice Guidelines for:

  • Hypercholesterolemia
  • Childhood Asthma
  • Heart Failure
  • Diabetes
  • Major Depression
  • Hypertension
  • EPOC
