PARKINETICS

PARKINETICS Proyecto

Parkinetics is the first living laboratory of electric mobility in Spain. Electric vehicles and charging stations will be tested and this will help users to define new profitable and sustainable mobility. The project is developed in a perimeter of 30km in the Vallès region (Barcelona), an area that encompasses technology parks, science and business with intensive R & D and more than 50 000 potential users.

  • R & D in new technologies for electric vehicles (EV)
  • Telemetry mass processing of certain physical variables for EV components (battery, ease of use of the electric motor), and the environment.
  • New generation of EV charging points either by mains and by better place system (battery replacement).

The other project partners are:

GRUPO AIA ´s role in the project is to analyse the data collected from the paths of vehicles in order to improve monitoring of battery models and optimise the charging process.

Impact of the implementation of electronic guidelines for cardiovascular prevention in primary care: study protocol

The Catalan Health Institute has recently added an electronic version of clinical practice guidelines (CPG-e). This study aims to evaluate the impact of the implementation of e-GPC in the diagnosis, treatment, control and management of hypercholesterolemia, diabetes mellitus type 2 and hypertension.

These guidelines help and homogenize patients´ medical procedures as they provide expert´s knowledge to improve clinical practice, minimize treatment variability and improves sanitary resources efficiency.

EMILI

EMILI proyecto

The EMILI project (“Emergency Management in Large Infrastructures”) is a European project aimed at creating a new generation of control systems for large critical infrastructure (ICs) such as power grids, telecommunications systems, airports, subways, trains and pipelines. These ICs are currently experiencing substantial technical, economic, organizational, political and legal changes. Its importance in society is growing in all aspects, and the set of dependencies between them is growing more and more.

Under these conditions, we need a new form of control to provide security in ICs, especially in emergencies and crises. The EMILI approach is based on a new generation of technologies such as complex event processing (CEP), the active Web and the Semantic Web.
EMILI unites leading research groups in data management and operational management, complex event processing, reactivity, knowledge representation and SCADA systems with industrial partners that provide use cases and “know-how” for SCADA systems in airports, public transport, and electrical networks.

The other project partners are:

  • Fraunhofer Institut (Germany) (Project leader)
  • Skytec AG (Germany)
  • Asit AG (Switzerland)
  • CWI (Centrum voor Wiskunde en informatica) (Netherlands)
  • Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München (Germany)
  • Institut Mihajlo Pupin (Serbia)

Grupo AIA’s role in the project is the development of intelligent interpretation systems for real-time SCADA alarms and events in the grid.

The project ran from 2010 to 2012.

BARCELONA CIUTAT INTELLIGENT

BARCELONA CIUTAT INTELLIGENT

AGAUR Project 2010 involving the Generalitat de Catalunya (Agència de Gestió d’Ajuts Universitaris I de recerca) electricity infrastructure within Inforegión.

The project consisted of the design, development and integration of a network management platform of sensors and information. Main objectives were the optimisation of urban management, but also aimed to provide as much information as possible, through the use of open interfaces enabling the development of innovative applications by third parties.

The other project partners were:

SISCLAP

SISCLAP Proyecto Salud

The SISCLAP project’s objective is to obtain an SCP, which achieves capitation payment models, adjusted for the risk level of the beneficiaries of a health service. Thus it is intended to improve the efficiency of resources, reducing use and consumption and the differences between budgets and expenditure. As an added value seeks to improve the access of users of increased risk to the most efficient and necessary.

The SISCLAP project is basically based on the application of algorithms and predictive models (using artificial intelligence) for segmenting all patients operated on supercomputing infrastructure with a focus on improving the efficiency of the Spanish health system. This improvement will be through three related levels, which ordered from micro to macro: Professional Management, Strategic Management and Organization and Financing of health centres, and budget allocation of healthcare providers.

The “Ministerio de Industria, Energía y Turismo” of Spain, within the “Plan Nacional de Investigación Científica, Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica 2008-2011”, has funded the project SISCLAP.

SISCLAP consortium has been formed by:
